| The game on everyones lips as this mag is going to
print is the forthcoming Junior Cup Final , Ballyclare against Carrick. |
| This is the 3rd time Ballyclare have made the Final,
having won it in 1988. |
| A tough draw has seen them fend off Omagh, Inst II,
Dungannon II, and Coleraine so all the best at Ravenhill on Saturday 27th April. |
| In the League a mid table place was secured. |
| The 2nd XV won the Crawford Cup against Queens II for the
4th season in an row. A tense, nail biter saw Ballyclare edge out as 20-19 winners. |
| In Junior 1 a top 4 place was attained. |
| The 3rd XV were disappointed to finish mid table in Junior
2 while the 4th XV have finished in the top half of Junior 3. |
| The 5th XV have struggled this year in Minor 1. |
| The U 14s had a strong team this year and the Under
20s improved as the season progressed although a strong Ards team put an end to any
silverware . |
Special
mention must go to President Eddie Simms for his industry throughout the year. |

The development of new sandbased, floodlight, pitches behind the clubhouse has been a
major investment this year and will be in operation in 2004.

Mayfair Saturday
sees Ballyclare host the largest Mini Rugby tournament in Ulster with teams flocking from
all over the Province.

Cricket Club |
Last season the
1st XI retained their Section 3 by finishing 6th in their first season there, the highest
level the club have ever played at. Captain Artie Campbell is currently preparing his
squad with indoor practice at Ballyclare Leisure Centre on Fridays evenings. |
The 2nd, 3rd
& 4th XIs will again have full league and cup fixtures and with the standard of
players at their disposal should be looking to have successful seasons. |
Youth cricket
will again feature highly in the TCC programme with the Under 19 team playing Woodvale in
the Colts Cup, the Under 15 and Under 13 teams playing in the strong East Antrim |

and the Under 11s looking to retain the Quoile Cup. |

the NCU U15 squad . |

High School Sport |
| Congratulations to Lewis Stephenson on being selected for
the Irish Schools side. |
| The big second row looks to have a promising future in the
game so we wish him all the best . |
| Congratulations also to Stephen Morrow, who along with
Lewis was selected for the Ulster Schools side. |
| A further rugby recognition goes to recent leaver Andy
Lowe who played for Ireland U19s in a recent competition in Italy. |
| The 1st XV were beaten at Ravenhill in the Shield Final by
Coleraine Inst. |
| A new addition to school has been the show jumping team
who recently competed in their first gymkhana . |

| The OBA are glad to say that they assisted with funding in
diversifying extra curricular options. |

Ballyclare Ladies Hockey Club |
| The hockey club continue to progress with the 1st XI
finishing 3rd in their first season in Senior 2. Missing out on promotion by 1 point. They
also played in the Senior Plate final, being beaten 1-0 by Belfast Harlequins who finished
3rd in Senior 1 |
| The 2nds and 3rds both won their league and
move into Intermediate 1 and 3 respectively. |
| The 4th XIs and Veterans could not match the high
standard set by the other teams and both completed the season without silverware. |
| Congratulations to Sharon Moffitt, who as goalkeeper, was
selected for the Ulster U21 team and is currently in contention for the Irish U21 squad.
We wish her all the best. |
| This is the most successful season for a long time which
is saying something considering that there has been quite a lot of success in recent
years. |
