| This
Association has been in existence since 1935 with the general aims of maintaining the
bonds and friendships which are built up by pupils during their school years. In November
1991 the Association gained a 'home' with the opening of its new clubhouse in Cloughan
Lane, Doagh Road. The building is owned by the Association and managed by the rugby club,
to be used for all the activities of the Association and its affiliated clubs. Since the
opening of this building, a further rugby pitch has been added, a cricket square has been
laid down, and a new all weather hockey pitch has also been completed. |
| Membership
in the past has mainly been achieved through the Association's affiliated clubs - rugby,
hockey, bowling, and more recently cricket and archery, and by way of regular events such
as golf outings, dinner dances, summer barbecues etc. Our declared aim is to expand the membership both
sporting and social, and to strengthen the bonds with the school. To this end, we would be
very pleased to hear from former pupils, who as always, will be most welcome to join in
any of the Association's functions. |

enable us to compile a more comprehensive history of the annals of the OBA, and if you
have any insights into the activities of the OBA in times past, please contact us so we can generate a complete picture of the
Association.

here something that links the early days of the Old Ballyclarians Association with these
more recent years... |
