A grammar school usually provides a seven-year span of education, five years to GCSE and two further years for 'A' levels. Each pupil will normally associate with one particular year group throughout those seven years. If you started in 1981, you would probably have left in 1988. The 'year of leaving' for your year group would then be 1988. NOTE however: The year groups below, provided by the school, list the pupils who left in the year indicated. For those of your year group who left in a different year, perhaps two years earlier at 'O' levels, look for them in an earlier year group.
